Between a Bullet and a Target: John Fitzgerald Kennedy

Here is number two in my series, Between a Bullet and a Target. It still needs some finishing touches, but is nearly complete. The canvas is 18X24 just like the Abraham Lincoln piece. I will post the final product when it is done. I have started the stencil for James Garfield whom you will see next.

Herman Düne CD Cover

This is a remake of a Herman Düne cd cover for an illustration assignment. It is my favorite piece from the fall semester. I used some found paper as the background design and textured paper for the rabbits, everything else is hand-drawn. The colors were digitally altered in photoshop.

Nobody's Hero Poster

I did this poster a couple years ago for Nobody's Hero, it's 18X24 inches. I'm a big fan of using patterns in my work and the background was inspired from some old wallpaper pattern that I happened to stumble upon.

Meet Series

This series started just like my idea for meeting cards. I was given the word Frank and had to make a piece for an illustration class back in the spring. Since then, I have added the rooster and the ewe. I chose the words capon and agneau because I wanted alternative names for the animals rather than their obvious ones. I liked the fact that could double as person's name. Each piece is 4X6 and has hand drawn as well as digital media. I might convert them into post cards and will continue to make more based off of farm animals.

Between a Bullet and a Target: Abraham Lincoln

Some more stencil work of mine. I'm a big fan of Abraham Lincoln and I wanted to include him in a series of work that I'm focusing on. The Between a Bullet and a Target series is centered around presidential assassinations of which there are only four confirmed. They include: Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, and Kennedy. I'm working on the completion of Garfield and Mckinley with Kennedy complete minus the target on his forehead which I will be posting soon.

Meating Card

This idea originally spawned for my final assignment in Illustration. We were given one word and had to make a piece that related to it. The word was meet or meat. I chose to make something that was interactive and morbid. This piece is 5X7 inches closed and about 7.5X 7 inches open. I plan on turning them into greeting cards or should I say "meeting" cards. Sayings might include: Nice to meet you or Lets meet! The possiblities are endless here. If you are interested in obtaining one or getting a custom one made get in touch.

Shark!

This piece is being used for a holiday mustache party that I will be hosting this year. If you're lucky you'll be invited. As for those of you that may ask, "Why a shark?" My response would be, "Why the hell not!?"

The Death of Frankenstein

I did this piece late this summer. It has been on display over at Nobody's Hero, until now....it will be featured on the cover of the Boise Weekly for the week of December 31, 2008. I think it's a great way to usher in the new year, Frankenstein for 2009. So, check it out when it hits stands.
